I am really glad that we did this project because i got to express myself pretty well. My paintings hold meaning, and i think that's really important with art. I'd like to do it again sometime.
Thematic Painting Reflection (12:D): April 20th, 2012.
.) I think that the good and strong parts of my painting are the messages hidden within it. It's very personal and that's my favorite part about it; it has meaning.
.) I can't really think of anything that i could have done better. Maybe i could have come up with a better idea for my second painting, but i still really like how i did it.
.) The attributes of my theme or unity would have to be my relationship with Kaleb. It was really unhealthy and i saw this picture in my head, and i just HAD to paint it. It wasn't that it was unhealthy...it's just that towards the end of our relationship things went sour and i guess he wasn't the person that he said he was. Oh well.
.) The details in my painting would probably have to be the red words in the hallways leading up to the golden EXIT door. They help my theme because they have to do with my relationship with Kaleb, and all of the things i am trying to forget. and escape from. I selected the color red because it stood for unhappiness, mostly.
.) My point of emphasis would have to be the golden door because it reselmbes hope, and moving on, and letting go. I used yellow/gold for the door because yellow reselmbes finally finding happiness when i've been surrounded by so much sadness.
.) I have learned to to apply my thoughts and emotion to all kinds of art because before it wasn't so easy, but if you have a picture in your head, you learn how to apply that.
.) Yes, it was planned, because like i saw before, i saw it in my head and i drew it in my priliminary designs, than i emphasized it once it as on the canvas.
.) Yes, you should do this project in the future just with less website stuff, ya know? Kids take an art class to do art, not type or 'reflect', they just want to express themselves.
